With the help of Abbott Laboratories Flight Department, Jack Henry and Associates Travel Department, The National Business Aviation Association, The National Air Transportation Association, the Emerson Electric Flight Department, and JAARS, Inc., the 2004 Corporate Aviation and General Aviation Career Day was a great success. A total of 65 high school and community college students interested in aviation plus 30 or so parents, teachers, counselors and adult chaperones attended the event from three midwestern states. The visiting students toured the excellent SIUC Aviation facilities at Southern Illinois Airport in the morning, had lunch and then were transported to the main SIUC Campus for a tour and an aviation careers seminar presented by some of the visiting corporate and general aviation representatives. The event was held on Saturday, April 24, 2004.
