| The College of Applied Sciences and Arts (CASA) reflects the goals of the Southern at 150: Excellence through Commitment strategic plan, and the vision of former SIU President Delyte Morris, for a university which is a respected seat of learning and research, and a valuable agent of community service. | ||||||

and community service – can be is sustained and enhanced only through the continuing support of alumni; current and retired faculty and staff; private sector firms and professional groups which value graduates and benefit from faculty research. | ||||
Donors can direct gifts to benefit specific programs, groups of students or the College, as a whole. Gifts may be pledged over an extended period and planned gifts can provide income streams for donors, as well as tax advantages for donors and their heirs. All levels of gifts are welcome and gifts of $25,000 or more may sustain scholarships in perpetuity, since only the interest earned on endowment gifts is used to assist students.
